Cain and Abel
Genesis 4:1-26
Sin—it has horrible, destructive consequences. Adam and Eve disobeyed God and now the rest of humanity will suffer from this evil called sin. Adam and Eve co-created (procreated) more humans (made in the image of God). Their first child was named Cain—meaning, brought forth or acquired. Eve said, “With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man” (Gen 4:1). “Later,” the Bible says, “she [Eve] gave birth to his brother Abel” (Gen 4:2).
