It’s pretty difficult to respond to things like Christ in this world. The action often looks like we are letting people “walk on us.”
Bill Hybels @ the 2011 Global Leadership Summit that the Willow Creek Association puts on had a chance to enact a kingdom, Christ-like response to a last-minute speaker cancellation. Honestly, when I heard about the speaker who cancelled and why he cancelled, I passed instant judgment and did not respond like Hybels. After watching this video I feel chastened and reminded that as Jesus-like people in this world, we are called to exercise “other-wordly” actions that exemplify what God intended this world to look like instead of what we want this world to look like.
